About the Shoot

On the day of your shoot, I’ll come to your home or a location of your choice. Together, we’ll chat through ideas, look at the light, and find the best spots for interesting backdrops. Then we’ll get started, making sure we capture all the key shots you had in mind, before relaxing into plenty of fun, spontaneous moments.

If you’d like some studio-style portraits, I can also bring my portable studio setup. It’s really important to me that your final gallery offers a variety of styles - something bespoke and unique, not just another set of standard photos.

A session usually lasts up to two hours. I like to take my time, helping everyone feel comfortable, especially the children! They often love getting involved (and usually want to help unpack my bag!). When everyone’s relaxed and enjoying themselves, that’s when the most natural, beautiful portraits happen.

One of the most common questions I’m asked is what to wear. The main thing is to feel comfortable in what you choose. Avoiding bold stripes, checks, and large logos can help keep the focus on your faces rather than clothing. For group shots, some families like to coordinate colours, but that’s entirely up to you. The bonus of shooting at home is that you can always change outfits for a different look. And when it comes to children, if they love what they’re wearing, the photos will always be wonderful!

Prices

The session fee is from £195.

This includes my time at the shoot, creative editing of your images and a 10 x 8 print. I will provide an online, password protected gallery within two weeks, from which you can purchase additional prints, digital downloads, canvases, acrylic art, and framed prints. Photoshoot Parties are very popular and great fun. Prices start from £240 for up to a maximum of 8, which includes a print for each party-goer. I can also arrange a hairstylist and make-up artist for an extra treat.

Headshots for professional purposes from £150.

Gift vouchers - Bespoke packages are available for a unique present.
